Samhain is getting closer, too. It's been a long time since I've done any sort of Samhain ritual, but with all of the stuff that has happened, I've had a lot of things on my mind, and I've been working on a little something for Samhain. Weather permitting, it should go pretty well, and Im definitely looking forward to that. 

I think, because of everything that has been happening lately, that I have grown quite a bit closer to my spirituality. Im starting to re-evaluate it a little bit...reassess my beliefs, that sort of thing. I find myself identifying more and more to the Celtic path. I've been doing a lot of reading lately, meditating, and...I guess you could call it 'Spiritual Searching'. Hell, maybe I'll have a name for my path soon enough. Right now, I call it eclectic Paganism, but the more I look into it, the more Im starting to think that its not really as eclectic as I thought it was. 

I'll be updating you guys on this random development later, of course. :D

Meanwhile, I have a weekend in which I am supposed to relax...but a little too much to do to have time to relax. Oh well. The relaxing will come. If I have to, I will procrastinate on some of the 'important' stuff so that I have some 'me' time and I dont kill anyone. 

Because that would be bad, wouldnt it? 

Oh, gods...and now we're watching another one..although it doesnt seem quite so bad this far.

So, why am I writing this? Because my speech is on Samhain, and how it became the 'Halloween' that is so popular today. I think it will be quite a fun speech to do. I'm excited about it. It's supposed to be next week...either Tuesday or Thursday...

Unfortunately, I have a lot going on next week. Monday, SER is doing a program for one of the Multicultural Assistants called 'Practical Magick' (not our idea---his). Tuesday, SER is doing another program for another Multicultural Assistant called 'Light as a Feather' (again, the name on this one was not our idea)...Im more excited about this one. It's going to have a lot too it. We're having panels on 'What is Paganism?' and 'Do Pagans really use magic?', and then there's going to be a couple of booths: 'Book of Shadows', 'Paganism and Pop Culture', 'Paganism vs. Satanism', 'Divination', and the one I have to do: 'Did they borrow from us?' <---yep. Gotta be PC about this one. Thats why it was given to me, I guess. But I have til Monday to finish all that up. 

Unfortunately, also next week I have a micro-teach in Japanese (as in I have to speak in Japanese), and another presentation Tuesday and Thursday of next week...not to mention my various meetings of the week...

Fun, fun, fun, right?
